- human resource training programmes for Arab journalists, including the development of general skills and specialised workshops. Central to the training programme will be the creation of a pool of highly skilled trainers
- the development of Arab-specific training curricula in journalism
- sponsorship of local, regional and international internships
- Arab-press exchange programmes
- sponsorship of research fellowships, at home and abroad
